About the Artist
Jennifer started working with glass in the summer of 2007 at the Pigeon Lake Field station, a summer art camp run through the UW system. She was hooked after her first amorphous paperweight. After studying with Chicago glass artist Pearl Dick throughout the following year she returned to Pigeon Lake and met Michael Boyd, who had recently started a community glass studio in Minneapolis, Jennifer's hometown. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2009, she returned to Minnesota and found her way to Michael's studio, Foci. For the next year she worked with and learned from local artists David Royce and Todd Cameron. She has since taken workshops with internationally known artists such as Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen, Clair Kelly, Boyd Sugiki and Lisa Zerkowitz.
She still creates her work at Foci where she also occasionally teaches beginners and mentors past students, sharing her love of the challenging and exciting medium.
